COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

FRYING:
#1 Method:
Place small amount of either shortening, bacon drippings or rendered ham fat in a pre-heated (medium heat) electric or heavy skillet at 350 degrees. Add the steaks and cook slowly, turning 3 or 4 times until slightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.

#2 Method:
Pre-heat electric skillet at 350 degrees or use a heavyt skillet over medium heat. Cover bottom of skillet with water, add 1 tablespoon honey and mix throughly. Place steaks in skillet and cook slowly, turning 2 or 3 times for 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly browned.

RED-EYE GRAVY:
Use frying method #1: After taking out the ham steaks, add a little water or coffee to the skillet drippings and simmer about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Spoon gravy over ham, hot biscuits or grits.

TO MICROWAVE:
Slices can be cooked in package after puncturing 2 to 3 times with a fork or cut 1/2 inch slit in top of package. Microwave on high for 2 min. 15 seconds. Turn package once during cooking. To reheat, cover with clear plastic wrap. Heat 45 seconds on medium setting. Drain excess grease before serving.

Love them so much! Best I have had! I buy them up to have on hand. 12/3/2021
I trim whatever thin strips of fat from them & then fry with the meat pieces with those fat strips to cook the grease out. I take my meat out & finish frying those fat strips till they are crispy, then take them out & the grease that is left over-I make me a personal size red-eye gravy with coffee & dip my biscuit sandwich in the gravy. Oh my gosh! I love that taste of all that curing it has done! I've tried other brands, but I like this flavor taste best & I have been lucky & got lean pieces in my packages. Good eatin' for this redneck!

GREAT 9/8/2020
I've had these Biscuit slices many times and have never been disappointed. You cannot find anything better here in Colorado.

Dont buy it! 11/2/2019
The ham was salty, tough and had a funky taste. Maybe spoiled.

Excellent 10/1/2019
These are superb - flavor is the best I have ever had. As an aside, to my surprise, microwaving preserves the flavor perfectly. I have no association with Broadbents.

biscuit slices 11/3/2018
Couple years back i ordered what i thought was ham slices cured without nitrites and nitrates, but when it arrived the label said it was cured containing them. They were of average taste but i could have gotten that at my local grocery without the shipping charge.

Too fatty for us 4/7/2017
These biscuit slices are full of fat. Ive ordered them several times, in case I just got a bad batch, and every package has been very fatty. So they require a great deal of trimming for a leaner, healthier option. So, I dont gain the convenience of having biscuit-sized slices. Its better and faster to buy the larger ham slices and trim/cut them.

Great for biscuits! 5/5/2016
Ordered 6 packs of these for myself and a friend in Montana last week. Have had a whole ham before and thought Id try the biscuit slices. You cant buy country ham in Montana or Wisconsin, so it was a real treat. Only problem is that Ive eaten it already! Time for more. Best country ham Ive ever had.
